How do you define “Mom”?
That is a loaded question. One that cannot be describe in simple terms. A simple Google search provides answers that describe an idea of “mom” rather than who a mom is in reality. A “Mom” includes the woman, the act of “mothering”, and the various roles Mom holds each day. There are so many traits that are intricately woven together to create the “Mom” that is raising your children right now.
Reflecting on my own life, my current definition of “Mom” includes being the primary caregiver, cook, household manager, school bus driver, nurse, maintenance technician, accountant, interior designer, stay-at-home mom, work-from-home mom, pet sitter and a host of other “hats” applicable to motherhood.
Through The Veteran Mom, my hope is that we can examine the various “Mom ” roles we take on and find ways to make our lives easier. I encourage you t odig deep and think about the various “Mom” roles that you hold and the expectations that each brings forth. I am grateful to be on this motherhood journey with you and look forward to growing in our motherhood together.
